About Sandhills Center

Sandhills Center manages integrated health care as an NC Medicaid Behavioral Health and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Tailored Plan.

We assure that people in need have access to quality physical and behavioral health services in their communities.

The Sandhills Center Tailored Plan helps people get the best care possible. We manage a network of providers to ensure quality services are available to you and your family. We are a resource for behavioral and physical health information or assistance. Behavioral health refers to mental health, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury and intellectual/developmental disabilities.

The Sandhills Center Tailored Plan helps people with complex and persistent needs. We serve 11 counties in central North Carolina:

Since 2010, Sandhills Center has earned full accreditation from URAC in the areas of Health Network, Health Call Center, and Health Utilization Management. Accreditation is the process of rigorous review that allows health care organizations to demonstrate their ability to meet regulatory requirements and national, evidence-based standards. URAC is an independent, third-party organization. Earning URAC accreditation means that our Medicaid members and State-Funded services recipients get the attention and care they deserve, and their privacy is protected.
