Sandhills Center - Motivational Interviewing and Supported Employment (IPS) Training

Motivational Interviewing and Supported Employment (IPS). This three-part (13-hour) Motivational interviewing and Supported Employment (IPS) will introduce participants to the basics of Motivational Interviewing (MI) as used in IPS (Supported Employment) services. Attendees will learn a brief history of MI; the many ways MI is used with those individuals who wish to go to work or school and at least three basic MI skills and tools to help individuals increase their confidence and commitment to seriously consider work and education. This training is appropriate for those new to using MI as well as more seasoned MI clinicians who want to benefit from a MI booster training. 13 NBCC CEs are offered to those who fully attend on their own unique training link.

Dates/Time:  December 12, 13, 14, 2022-9:30am - 2:30pm each day with two breaks daily.

You must attend all three sessions to receive NBCC CEs.                  

Audience: Sandhills Center providers, including Community Support Team staff, ACT staff, TMS staff, Outpatient staff

Cost: Free of charge: Sponsored by Sandhills Center MCO. This event is presented by UNC Institute for Best Practices for the Sandhills Center MCO and registration is limited to their staff and providers who treat Sandhills Center members and are based out of a Sandhills Center contracted site.  

Credit: 13 hours of NBCC CE credits will be awarded to individuals completing the full training.  (No partial credit)
