What to do in case of a medical emergency

The Sandhills Center Tailored Plan wants you to be ready and safe during medical emergencies and other urgent situations.

If not treated right away, a medical emergency may cause death, or severe illness or injury. An example would be poisoning, insulin reaction, seizure, or spinal injury.

If it is a medical emergency or someone is in danger, dial 911, right away

URGENT MEDICAL SITUATIONS

An urgent medical situation may not be life-threatening, but you could need first aid or medical treatment. Examples would be a broken or swollen arm, minor burns, heat exhaustion, or severe cuts.
