Sandhills Center cosponsors CIT training in Lee County

A 40-hour Crisis Intervention Team training program was held at Central Carolina Community College during the week of August 17-21, 2020, with 21 officers graduating from the course. Participants represented the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Sanford Police Department, the North Carolina Department of Public Safety/Probation and Parole, and the Greensboro Police Department. Capt. Tony Hancox (Ret.) served as host officer. Lee County CIT is a partnership between Sandhills Center, Central Carolina Community College, the Lee County Sheriff's Office, the Sanford Police Department and Central Carolina Hospital.
