UTILIZATION MANAGEMENT POLICY

Utilization Management (UM) is a term used to describe the planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring of health care services. Sandhills Center wants to ensure that services are appropriate and affordable.

We want to ensure that services are appropriate and affordable. Sandhills Center's UM Policy verifies that Medicaid members and State-Funded services recipients are getting high-quality physical and behavioral health care that is part of their overall wellness.

We do not want to waste or duplicate healthcare services and resources. Sandhills Center wants to be sure that we can work together to reduce the type of healthcare services that are not helpful for our members' and recipients' well-being.
