Utilization Management Policy

Utilization Management (UM) is a term used to describe the planning, organizing, directing, and monitoring of health care services for the Sandhills Center Tailored Plan’s Medicaid members and State-Funded Services recipients.

We want services to be affordable and appropriate. Through our UM Policy, we want you to get high-quality care. We do not want to duplicate health care services. Sandhills Center wants to reduce the type of health care services that are not helpful for your well-being.
